Gibsons Chamber Mission Statement

The Gibsons and District Chamber of Commerce is a member of the BC Chamber of Commerce.

The BC Chamber of Commerce is the premier business advocacy organization in the province. Using a unique policy development process grounded in a grassroots, result-orientated analysis of issues and solutions from locally based stakeholders, the BC Chamber has a proven track record of making successful recommendations to governments and non-governmental organizations at all levels. As members of the BC Chamber of Commerce, local Chambers of Commerce and businesses can rest assured that their concerns are being fully represented to the entire province.
 

What is the Chamber of Commerce?

  • A volunteer, not-for-profit organization governed by the Board of  Trade Act and established in Gibsons on March 27, 1947.

  • Exists to make the community a better place to live.

  • Provides an avenue for business people in the community to create a positive business environment.

  • Provides the local business community with the means to promote our community to the outside world-either for tourism or business.

  • Provides visitor services.

  • Works for sound legislation and efficient administration at the community and all levels of government.
